Virtus Energy's Intimate knowledge of the Texas REC Program and Renewable Energy Market has led to future REC price prediction that to date has been remarkably accurate. This excerpt from “Texas REC Market – Future Price Forecast” was made when the historical trading range for Texas RECs had been $4 to $7. What actually happened? REC prices increased and, between October 2002 and March 2003, have been in the $10-14 range, with a few trades spiking to nearly $17.
