Renewable Energy is a broad category of energy that derives from the natural movements and mechanisms of the environment, such as solar, wind, and biomass. These resources can be used for many beneficial uses with fewer negative consequences than conventional sources. It is inevitable that as these renewable energy technologies continue to develop, they with be utilized more and more – at costs that are fully competitive with conventional resources. The Virtus website provides information on renewable energy suitable for a broad spectrum of users, from introductory information in the section labeled BASICS to more advanced information in POLICY.

Texas Renewable Resources

Virtus Energy has long been involved in renewable energy “resource assessment”, a term that implies "where" and "how much".  As part of a major project for the State of Texas, Virtus produced a 176 page map-intensive document that examines all major renewable resources in the state of Texas. Since this project is based on physical resources, it remains highly relevant today. For copies of the full report, please contact us. The project summary is available on–line:
